About the single
The story of Christmas Gran
Out 27 November 2026 · All proceeds from single sales to Crisis
For hundreds of years (though she’ll only admit to 70), Christmas Gran has been the quiet force behind the scenes at the North Pole, keeping Santa’s whole operation running while he takes all the credit.
She bakes the cupcakes and candy canes that keep the elves going through the busiest night of the year. She keeps the workshop fed, organised and on schedule. And yes, she’s the one mucking out the reindeer stables, poop and all.
This year, she wants a little of the limelight.
So Christmas Gran has made her very first record, and don’t let the name fool you. “Christmas Day Is Coming” isn’t a gentle singalong by the fire. It’s a brilliantly fun, high-energy dance track built for kitchen discos, Christmas parties and anyone who fancies a boogie this festive season.
And because Christmas Gran has always looked after others, every sale of the single goes to Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness, so no one has to spend Christmas without a safe, warm place to stay.
Christmas Day is coming, and this year Christmas Gran is ready to be heard.
The track is produced by Andy Kulesza of Nottingham electronic trio amillionsons.
All proceeds from single sales of “Christmas Day Is Coming” will be donated to Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness.
Who Crisis are
Crisis was founded in 1967 and works across England, Scotland and Wales. Its aim is not just to help people through homelessness, but to end it for good. All year round, its Skylight centres offer one-to-one support with housing, health, education and finding work, so people can move on and rebuild their lives. Crisis also researches the causes of homelessness and campaigns for the changes needed to prevent it.
What Crisis does at Christmas
Crisis at Christmas has run every year since 1972. Over the festive period, thousands of volunteers help Crisis open its doors to people with nowhere else to turn — offering warm meals and Christmas lunch, hotel rooms for people who would otherwise be sleeping rough, health checks with GPs, nurses, opticians and more, advice from caseworkers, and simply good company at the hardest time of year.
Crucially, Christmas is a starting point. Guests are introduced to Crisis’s year-round services, so the support carries on long after the decorations come down.
